Bucovina Ultra Rocks by UTMB does not begin at a start line. It begins the moment you cross the bridge and step past the bell tower, into the last wild heart of the Eastern Carpathians, one of the few corners of Europe the modern world never quite managed to tame.

Six courses wait on the other side, from a 15km dash to a 114km reckoning. You will climb through an untouched UNESCO forest, pass medieval sheepfolds where shepherds have kept the same watch for centuries, and drop through the Devil's Mill Gorge, narrow enough that the rock seems to remember every runner who's squeezed through it. Above it all, the stone citadels of Lady's Rocks watch you climb, the way they've watched everyone who's tried before you.
